Saved & Sealed

sealed Ephesians 1:13

A saved person cannot become lost (again) because they are kept & sealed by the power of God. God is keeping you saved, because God knows you can’t keep yourself saved, and He knows the ramifications of you becoming lost (again), because it would be (impossible) for you to get saved (again) and you would go to hell.

Hebrews 6:4–6 is one of the most misunderstood passages in the entire Bible. It took me a long, long, time to get a proper handle on what it is saying, after studying the Bible for over 50 years, so you are not going to instantly understand what it is talking about without studying, praying.

So you, like me, when we face a difficult passage of scripture, we need to pray, read it in other translations, a Strong’s Concordance is very helpful & pray for God‘s direction as to what the passage is actually saying, taking into account what other places in the Bible are saying about the same subject.

1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭27 ~ But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

‭‭I cannot tell you how monumentally important Hebrews 6:4-6 is. The ramifications of what these verses are saying is catastrophic!

Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ~ ‭For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

‭This passage has three parts, people have said everything in the world about what these three parts are talking about, most everything I have seen is wrong.

Here is the same passage, same words, slightly rearranged.

for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

(Totally, completely emphatically SAVED, there’s no way on earth you can do all of the things listed and not be a genuine believer, born again.)

if they shall fall away,

(If pigs could fly, it is hypothetical, it is a figure of speech, because it positively can not happen for a saved person to become lost again)(some translations do not say IF, that does not matter because it is still talking about the same thing.)

“For it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”

(People say the FIRST part is talking about saved or lost people, that is irrelevant. People say the SECOND part is whether or not a saved person can become lost again, that is irrelevant. The WHOLE point of this passage of scripture is the THIRD part. To state emphatically and positively that IF a saved person COULD become lost again, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for them to be saved again, IMPOSSIBLE!)

(Countless people in this world think, believe, have been taught, THEY have to keep themselves saved, because they think GOD CAN’T. They think if they become lost again, all they have to do is get saved again, they have no idea, they cannot even imagine the ramifications of that thinking, or of that FALSE belief.)

(You CANNOT become lost once you’re saved because you are kept and sealed by the power of God not man, God is keeping you saved because God knows that you couldn’t, and HE knows that if you did become lost again, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for you to be saved again and you would go to HELL!)

(People do not realize that saved again, re-saved are nowhere in the Bible, there is no illustration, there is no example of a person that was saved, becoming lost again, because it does not happen, it cannot happen, because once you became lost again, you would be condemned to HELL!)

(People think they can get saved, become lost again, get saved again, over & over & over again, without realizing the severity of their sin, without realizing the magnitude of Jesus’s sacrifice, they cannot comprehend, they cannot imagine they do not understand that the same blood, sweat, tears, torture, sacrifice, separation, humiliation, that Jesus went through on the cross to get them saved ONCE, would have to be repeated to get them saved AGAIN, that is why it is impossible, because Jesus is not going to die for you twice!
